Section 1A Baseball: Two Express pitchers combine to shut out the Lakers 10-0

 The Lakers bats that put up ten runs on Dundas on Wednesday night could not get anything going against Brady Bean (six shutout innings) and old friend Jake Petricka (three shutout innings). Elko pulled away with eight runs in the final four innings to win going away on Friday night. It took till the fourth before there was any scoring. With 2 runners on base for the Express, a throwing error on an attempted sacrifice bunt by Kyle Kraska allowed both runners to score.  Kraska was responsible for the next two runs. With one out in the sixth and runners on second and third, Kraska singled one run in and on a misplay in left field, another run was able to score to make it a 4-0 Elko lead.  Elko added another pair in the seventh that Kraska was NOT responsible for. Trevor Rasmussen had an RBI triple followed by a Carson Blasing double to make it a six run game.  The Express added on another pair in the ninth. ABlasing single drove in a run, T.J. Section 1A Baseball: Faribault Lakers hold on to defeat Dundas Dukes 10-8

 Kevin Luckow (non member of IBWAA) It was the first visit to Bell Field for the Dundas Dukes in the modern era of Townball. The Lakers made it a memorable for the home town fans collecting 11 hits and 10 runs in a victory at Bell Field in Section One play on Wednesday night.  Dundas got on the board in the first as a Tate Journall lead off walk eventual scored on a fielder's choice. The Dukes added on in the second. Mike Ludwig surprised the entire ballpark by bunting, and reaching on a throwing error. Ludwig eventually scored on a fielding error with two outs.  In the Lakers half of the second, I saw something I've never seen in all my years of watching baseball. Due to two Lakers reaching on wild pitches on strike three, Dukes starter Landon Boisen struck out five batters in the inning.
